Three countries.
One mission: freedom, restoration, and prevention.
At She Is More Than, our work spans borders but stays grounded in one purpose: to walk with survivors of trafficking and exploitation as they reclaim their lives. Through safe housing, trauma-informed care, vocational empowerment, and community education, we fight trafficking where it starts and stand with those rebuilding after it ends. Here’s how we do it—across Uganda, Florida, and soon the Bahamas.
Uganda: Where restoration Began
In Uganda, we operate a certified restoration home where over 500 girls have received trauma-informed care since 2011.
Girls live with us for 3–6 months, receiving:
- Safe Housing
- Medical Care
- Individual & Group Thereapy
- Academic Tutoring
- Vocational training
- Dance Therapy

Florida: Awareness and Recovery
In Central Florida, we serve on the front lines of local anti-trafficking efforts — from school-based prevention education to an upcoming recovery program for women overcoming both addiction and exploitation.
Partner with Seminole County schools to teach anti-trafficking awareness
Develop curriculum for students, teachers, and parents
Serve on the local anti-trafficking task force
Launching a hybrid recovery program for survivors in addiction
Trauma-informed care meets sober living, therapy, and vocational tools

Nassau, Bahamas: Healing Starts Here
Our expansion into the Bahamas is focused on launching trauma-informed survivor care and prevention programs in communities where support is scarce.
We’re working with local leaders to bring restoration and empowerment to women and girls through education, healing, and hope.
Localized Programs. Global Healing.
Our programs are designed to meet the unique needs of each region we serve — from trauma healing in Uganda to prevention in Florida to capacity-building in the Bahamas.
We don’t just rescue girls from trafficking — we walk with them through healing, empowerment, and long-term restoration.
